A lightning strike is believed to have sparked a barn fire in Wilson County.
It happened Friday as storms passed through the region.
According to Wilson County Emergency Management officials, witnesses saw a lightning strike in the area.
The barn on the 1700 block of Hartsville Pike northeast of Lebanon caught fire.
It was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived and was a total loss. Five chickens were lost in the fire.
The barn also housed equipment like horse tack/saddles, lawn equipment and tools which the owner estimated at $60,000 that were also destroyed.
