ANTIOCH, Tenn. – Lightning was likely the cause of a house fire in southeastern Davidson County, according to officials.
The incident was reported around 5 p.m. Monday at a home on Asheford Trace in Antioch.
Officials on the scene said the blaze was most likely started by lightning.
Although downed tree limbs and power lines caused traffic to back up in the area, firefighters were able to respond quickly.
"I called one of my co-workers, I was like 'you're the religious one, I need you to pray or talk to Jesus or something right now because they said my house was on fire,'” said homeowner Sierra Petty.
The home received minor damage. No one was hurt.
