A lightning strike is the suspected cause of a house fire in Murfreesboro, officials said.
Strong to severe storms began moving through Middle Tennessee Thursday afternoon, bringing heavy downpours, intense lightning, and strong winds.
Fire crews were called to a house fire on Comer Lane in Murfreesboro after severe weather moved through that area.
A family with two young children escaped the burning home. No one was hurt.
