NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Logan's Roadhouse has teamed up with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers to set the stage for live music in its restaurants across the country.

The new partnership could go a long way toward boosting the careers of some up-and-coming artists in Nashville.

Nashville has always been known for live music. Typically live music doesn’t play inside Logan's Roadhouse, but that's about to change.

“Logan's is focusing on the emerging songwriter, and giving the emerging songwriter a chance to get out, experience the road, and perform,” said Paul Williams ASCAP President and CEO.

Chris Cavanaugh was one of those songwriters. This was a first-of-its-kind collaboration between Logan's, and the performing rights organization ASCAP, that would give rising stars a place to play.

“Making sure artists can make a living through their music, their songwriting, and give them a venue to be discovered, that's the platform for them to perform,” said Sam Borgese, Logan's Roadhouse CEO.

The Nashville-based Logan's Roadhouse was changing, with remodeled restaurants, and new menu items.

The Music City Live! tour, and its three tours buses, was set to bring emerging artists to its restaurants next spring.

“We're excited about that, we think that's a really fantastic way of going to small town, and large cities where we have restaurants and bringing music to those communities,” said Borgese

It was an unlikely place to make live music, but the stage was set at Logan's.

The Music City Live! tour was expected to make its October 1 at the Logan's Cool Springs location, and streamed live to all 230 Logan's restaurants.
