A man has been arrested after robbing two people while pointing a pistol at them outside of their home.

Authorities said the incident happened Sunday when the suspect, now identified as 23-year-old Dewayne Hollis, stopped two people outside their home on Brown Place, pointed a pistol at them, and demanded cash.

According to reports, Hollis got away with some of the victims’ property valued at more than $1,000.

An investigation led officials to Hollis as the suspect. He was taken to the police department and interviewed.

Authorities confirmed Hollis was arrested Wednesday. He confessed to the robbery and was able to provide details of the incident that were only known by the victims and police.

Hollis was charged with two counts of aggravated robbery. He was being held in the Sumner County Jail on a $175,000 bond.
