One person was injured in a shooting on Hampton Street.
Officials confirmed the incident took place just after 4:15 a.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of Hampton Street in the parking lot of the Regency Inn and Suites.
According to reports, a man who was staying at the hotel went outside and got into a fight with another man.
That’s when they allegedly began shooting at each other, and the man who had been staying at the hotel was shot in the shoulder.
The victim was taken to Skyline Medical Center for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Police said the other shooter fled from the scene in a black Hyundai. They described him as a black male with dreadlocks.
Authorities said it was believed the two men knew each other. Bullet holes could be seen in a car at the scene.
Officials had not released the victim’s identity. No further details were available as the investigation remained ongoing.
