A crash in Putnam County involving one vehicle seriously injured the driver.
The wreck happened around 7:50 p.m. Friday on Interstate 40 just past mile marker 298.
Reports stated a 2007 Jeep Liberty was in the eastbound lanes when it left the roadway and hit a guardrail. The vehicle then flipped, trapping the driver inside.
The driver, identified as 58-year-old Joyce Moyer, of Clarksville, was extricated by emergency crews and flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her condition was unknown.
A portion of the roadway was closed in that area for a few hours while crews worked at the scene.
The investigation into the crash remained ongoing.
