One person was shot during an early morning attempted robbery at a south Nashville apartment complex.
The incident happened overnight Thursday at the Mallards Landings Apartments, not far from Apache Trail and Packard Drive.

Officials with Metro Nashville Police said a suspect tried to rob the victim in one of the breezeways.
Witnesses reported hearing at least three shots.
A suspect described as an African American male with a thin build was seen fleeing the area.
The victim was struck in the hand and taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
