An 18-year-old girl was arrested after allegedly breaking into a Nashville-area school.
According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, Edwonesha Scruggs broke into John Early Middle School in North Nashville, Sunday night.
Officers responded after Scruggs' mother called police and said her daughter may have gone into the school.
When they arrived, Scruggs was reportedly found inside, which forced police to set up a perimeter around the school.
She was accused of using a chair to break into a cafeteria window before ransacking papers and other school property.
Police said Scruggs was seen banging on the window and placed her hands behind her back.
She was taken into custody without incident and charged with burglary.
There was no word as to why she allegedly broke into the school. No one else was involved.
