180 Monarch Butterflies Released For Loved Ones

Posted

An annual event in Murfreesboro gave people a way to remember loved ones who are no longer with us.

Families released 180 monarch butterflies Saturday as part of Alive Hospice's annual Memorial Butterfly Release.

The event has served as a powerful reminder each year that loved ones remain part of us through remembrance, even when they're no longer physically present.

The money raised has been set to benefit The Residence at Alive Hospice-Murfreesboro, which will be the first facility of its kind in Rutherford County.

That facility has been slated to open in early 2017.
