A man was placed behind bars and accused of bringing a gun into a Tennessee State University dorm room.
The incident happened Monday, and the suspect, 24-year-old Darryl Anthony Hale, was arrested Thursday.
Police said he made his way into the victim's student apartment room on TSU's campus the day of the incident.
The victim thought it was her mom, so when she opened the door, police said Hale was standing there with a handgun.
The victim said Hale cocked the gun as if he was loading it to use it against her.
According to police, there was a temporary order of protection against him.
Details had not been released regarding what the relationship between Hale and the victim was, but she was fearful of her life.
He remained in jail charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
