Just one day after the end of an investigation into the Fairview Police Department, two officers named in the report have now sued the city.
Lieutenant Pat Stockdale and Lieutenant Shane Dunning have been on administrative leave, but they said they were never told why or given a chance to speak.
They believed it was retaliation for bringing other corruption to light within the police department, incidents that were included in that investigation.
The officers have sued local leaders including the mayor and commissioners.
Wednesday's report concluded that no crimes were committed.
