Two people were killed and one was injured in a stabbing in Hendersonville.

"Right as we were falling asleep we heard some yelling next door. We would hear yelling on occasion, nothing that I was alarmed about, but it was a man and woman I heard yelling," said Rachael Knack.

Police said the incident happened around 3 a.m. Saturday at a home in the 200 block of Elnora Court.

Authorities said they found a 79-year-old man in the front yard. He told them he had been stabbed.

"He had sat in his minivan for a little bit and we saw him hunched over. He had been stabbed, and they took him off in the stretcher around 3:40 this morning," said Knack.

The man was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery.

Reports confirmed police also found 21-year-old Travis Sanders and 18-year-old Icie Hawkins. Both were killed in the alleged stabbing.

Sanders passed away at the scene. Hawkins was taken to the hospital where she later died.

"Two people dead and one injured, it was very scary. It scared the living daylights out of me I couldn’t believe it," said Lee Lazarus.

Officials said the investigation was active pending autopsies. Police confirmed the incident was isolated meaning there was no threat to the community.

"We all know each other, but you don’t expect this to happen in a tiny little cul-de-sac like this," said Knack.

Anyone with information on this deadly stabbing has been urged to call Hendersonville Crime Stoppers at 615-573-5400.
