An investigation was launched after two armed men robbed a gas station in Donelson, but officers have since learned that the men were responsible for a string of robberies over the weekend.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the robberies began Friday night around 10:15 p.m. at E. Milano's Pizza on Donelson Pike.

Investigators said the three suspects fired shots during the pizza place robbery, then moved to a BP station on Harding pike.

They were then connected to gas station robberies on Saturday and Sunday night on Donelson Pike and Old Hickory Boulevard where they also fired shots.

They were driving a tan, four-door sedan, possibly a Honda.

In one of the robberies on Donelson, a Mapco, officials said two suspects entered the store with handguns and demanded money from the clerk.

They reportedly went behind the counter and forced the employee to open the cash drawer. The suspects were able to get away with money and cigars.

Police said they were described as two African American men in their early 20s. One was wearing a white hoodie and gloves, while the other was wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans and gloves.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME.
