21-Year-Old Swimmer Laid To Rest

A Nashville native who died during a swimming accident has been laid to rest.

Tate Ramsden died in Sarasota Florida near the end of December. He was laid to rest Saturday.

He was on vacation with family when he tried to swim four laps underwater without breathing, a typical training exercise for swimmers.

Tate reportedly died from "shallow water black out" which caused him to drown.

The 21-year-old was a junior at Dartmouth College.

He's a graduate of Montgomery Bell Academy on West End.
