A bowl of soup can be the perfect way to warm up on a cold day, and it also brought people together to support a good cause.
The 24th annual Our Kids Soup Sunday Fundraiser was held at Nissan Stadium.
The event featured soup from more than 50 different restaurants and a silent auction.
NewsChannel 5's Nick Beres was the Master of Ceremonies.
The event benefitted Our Kids, a non-profit that has helped families struggling with child sexual abuse and brought attention to the troubling issue.
“This is all to support our kids,” said Sue Fort White, Executive Director of Our Kids. “It’s about supporting passionate care, medical evaluations in response to child sexual abuse.”
The event was sold out, and more than 1,500 people attended.
