Three kayakers were rescued from the Duck River.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. Thursday at Iron Bridge Boat Ramp in Columbia.
Officials confirmed a man flipped his kayak and tried to get back in when he was washed away for a bit. He was able to get to the bank safely.
Authorities said other female kayakers were trying to save the boat, but were not successful.
No injuries were reported. Officials said the kayakers were okay.
Reports stated the water levels were higher than normal with swift water, debris, and muddy conditions.
Authorities said they recommend people stay out of the Duck River.
