Four people have been rescued due to flooding in Sumner County.

Officials in Bethpage said the four were rescued Friday from a home on Phillips Hollow Road.

Crews had responded to multiple calls. They said the northeastern part of the county was hit hard with flooding, but the water appeared to be receding in some areas.

Authorities said in addition to the rescue, a car had also been carried away by the water, but those inside were able to safely get to land.

Several images from Sumner County showed the widespread flooding.

Flooding was also reported in Wilson County where those with the Emergency Management Agency warned the public to never cross a flooded roadway.

No further details were immediately available.
