Hundreds of people spent time running or walking at the historic Tennessee State Prison.
The 4th annual Tennessee Department of Correction 5K was held Saturday, and it was an opportunity to get up close and personal with the prison that’s only open to the public once a year.
This year, participants got to enjoy a narrated walking tour of the grounds and a photo-op on the set of "The Green Mile.”
Funds raised from the event were set to benefit Big Brothers/Big Sisters, which collaborated with the Department of Correction.
Excited 2 see so many race faces today! The @TNTDOC1 5K has drawn nearly 400 people to the Historic TN State Prison to support mentoring!
