5 Juveniles Taken Into Custody At G4S Academy

Posted

Five juveniles were taken into custody after a fight at the G4S Stones River Academy.

Authorities said they were called to the scene around 11 a.m. Sunday due to a fight and property damage at the facility in the 200 block of Stewarts Ferry Pike.

Officials said five of the 18 male juvenile residents had been acting unruly. They allegedly made assault threats with broomsticks, and one made it past the gate before being detained and returned inside.

Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department secured the grounds. Minor injuries were reported from staff and students, but none required medical attention.

All five juveniles were taken to the Juvenile Detention Center for prosecution by G4S.

No further details were available.
