More than 500 homes have been placed back on the grid after being without power for more than 15 hours.
The incident happened in Bellevue. Representatives with the Nashville Electric Service said the power outage was reported around 4:45 p.m. Friday.
It took until about 8 a.m. Saturday to get it restored.
NES officials said the outage was caused by a rat that chewed through an underground cable.
