The Scottsboro Community Club's 60th Annual Bar-B-Cue brought people together to indulge in 1,600 pounds of smoked pork and 600 pounds of smoked chicken.
"The meat literally just falls right off the bone," said Tony McDonald, Pit Boss.
That's what happens to the pork after it's been smoked a touch over 24 hours.

"We make about 35 gallons of barbeque sauce a year. We have hot sauce and a milder version that we call sissy sauce," said McDonald.
More than 50 volunteers come together to make sure the day is a success.
"Frank will bring a butt over here and break it down, until you've got nothing but nice clean barbeque," said McDonald.
It has taken a lot of sweat and loss of sleep to pull off an event like this, and it's all to bring a community together year after year.
The club has made sure they pay homage to some of the first ones that started the tradition, but when someone can no longer do their part in helping out in the annual event, that's when the baton has been passed to the many who are content to carry on the tradition.
The BBQ has been held the Saturday before Labor Day every year.
