8 Arrested In Credit Card Fraud Case

Eight people have been arrested after what police called a complex credit card fraud case.

Police in La Vergne were contacted by officers with the Murfreesboro Police Department on Monday evening in regard to the case that began in Murfreesboro.

The case had led officers to the Quality Inn in the 100 block of Enterprise Boulevard in La Vergne.

Detectives went to that address and used search warrants to investigate three hotel rooms.

Police said eight people were arrested and accused of being involved in a large scale scheme to steal victims’ credit card numbers.

The suspects were allegedly re-encoding the stolen numbers on other debit cards, credit cards, and gift cards to purchase expensive items.

Authorities also seized a large amount of cash, multiple brand new cell phones, laptops, tablets, and a printer.

Officials said the following eight people were taken into custody:

  • Alexis Salguerio Rodriguez, age 24
  • Emilio Rafael Gomez, age 29
  • Yuseff Antonio Elias, age 30
  • Daniel Mason Martinez, age 36
  • Alain Rodriuez Rivero, age 35
  • Luis E. Pedroso Vasquez, age 29
  • Yoany Abella Diaz, age 32
  • Aime Guevara, age 22

Officials confirmed each suspect was charged with criminal simulation and identity theft.

The investigation remained ongoing with more charges possible.
