There’s an exciting new push to stop hunger in the Mid-State.
Friday, local non-profit Colby's Army announced it's teaming up with Ellis Jaxon Farms, a social enterprise company based in Georgia, to create an aeroponic garden in Cheatham County.
Aeroponics is the process of growing plants in an air or mist environment without the use of soil.
Some of the produce will be donated to hungry families in the Mid-State, and the rest will be sold in stores and online under the Ellis Jaxon Farms/Colby's Army brand.
