The suspect accused of raping and killing a 7-year-old Kentucky girl could be linked to an attempted abduction in West Virginia, according to an affidavit.

Timothy Madden has been charged with killing Gabbi Doolin in Allen County back in November 2015.

He has pleaded not guilty in the case.

However, recently obtained affidavits cite a report from a family in West Virginia that someone who looked very much like Madden attempted to abduct their child at a service station.

That was about one week before Doolin was found murdered.

He has not been charged in connection with the alleged incident in West Virginia.

Madden was being held on more than $1 million bond in Kentucky. Prosecutors would decide before the end of the month whether to seek the death penalty.
