A suspect accused in multiple burglaries was taken into custody following a traffic stop in Davidson County.
Officials with Metro police said alleged serial burglar Willie Robertson, Jr. was arrested Wednesday afternoon during a traffic stop on Donelson Pike near Interstate 40 and the Nashville International Airport.
Robertson has been accused in at least seven burglaries. He was identified as a suspect after a crash on December 1.
According to police, the 19-year-old was involved in a collision on Old Hickory Blvd and I-40.
Witnesses told officers that Robertson and another man were seen trying to hide a safe and a television behind a guardrail before fleeing the scene.
Officers tracked down the property and discovered that it had been stolen from homes on Edgemont Drive, Blue Hills Drive and Laurel Hill Drive.
He's also suspected in at least three burglaries on Woodberry Drive.
Robertson has a long criminal history, including drug and theft convictions.
