An accused thief was arrested after allegedly targeting his neighbor’s home, who just happened to be a Metro Nashville Police sergeant.
According to an affidavit, the suspect was burglarizing cars and homes along Warfield Lane in Nashville.
That's when an alert police sergeant spotted him ransacking a neighbor's car and called fellow officers to the scene.
He was arrested at the scene. Police said he'd already taken items from the sergeant's home, including a box of jewelry.
Officers also recovered 15 rounds of ammunition. He reportedly didn't now the victim was a police sergeant.
The suspect was jailed on burglary charges.
