More than 1,000 visitors to Nashville teamed up to help the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.

As part of their annual Sales and Marketing Communications Conference which got underway this weekend in Nashville, about 1,000 people from Anheuser-Busch and their wholesale partners came together for the service project.

They packed 7,500 food boxes for local veterans and 12,000 backpacks for local kids.

Participants said it’s a great way to give back to the community.

“We want to leave the place better than when we showed up,” said Bill Bradley, Vice President of Community Affairs at Anheuser-Busch. “We come with a lot of hands and energy and effort, and we want to leave that in the local marketplace where we have our meetings.”

Also, as a part of the conference, the world famous Budweiser Clydesdales made a special appearance in downtown Nashville.

They walked down lower Broadway stopping at Tootsie's, Rippy’s, and Honky Tonk Central. Of course, lots of people took pictures.
