Officials with Austin Peay State University have announced plans to change the name of one of its buildings.
The name “Hemlock Semiconductor” was expected be removed from the engineering building.
University officials said the name of the building gifted to them by Hemlock could be misinterpreted as a direct path to working for Hemlock Semiconductor.
They planned to convert it into a location for the Engineering Technology Program, and will decide on a new name for the building once it’s approved by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
