Bartlett Man ID'd As M'Boro Homicide Victim

Authorities have identified a fatal shooting victim found at a Murfreesboro apartment complex as a 23-year-old Shelby County man. 

Murfreesboro Police officers were called to the scene at The Vie apartments early Friday morning.

A man's body was found in the parking lot between two buildings. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has identified him as Donte Bernard Johnson, of Bartlett.

Another man, identified as 25-year-old Brandon Deangelo Herman, was taken to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Herman, of Chattanooga, was wanted on unrelated charges in Alabama. He was currently in the Rutherford County Jail awaiting extradition.   

The shooting remained under investigation.
