A burglar was able to smash his way into a Nashville area restaurant overnight.
The incident happened late Sunday night at Dandgure's Café, located at the corner of Lafayette Street and 6th Avenue South.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police received a call from the owner around 11:30 p.m. saying his security company called and alerted him of a possible break-in.

The restaurant's owner arrived to find the front door busted with a large rock nearby.
According to him, he drove up and saw the burglar crawling out of the door with two TV's. He then followed the man around the area in his truck and kept telling him to stop.
The burglar left one of the TV's before he lost sight of him near a construction site.
He remained on the phone with police as he following the suspect.
Even though a surveillance camera was inside the business, it didn't capture the incident.
Right now, there was no specific suspect description. Anyone with information should call Metro Police at 615-74-CRIME.
Dandgure's, which opened 25-years-ago, will open as usual Monday.
