Burglars were able to use a rope to pull bars off an east Nashville business during an overnight smash-and-grab.

The incident was reported around 4 a.m. Friday at Lucky 7 Liquor Store on Jones Avenue.

Officials with Metro Nashville Police said two people attached a rope to the door and pulled the bars off so they could smash the window.

The suspects cut the surveillance on the outside of the business; however, surveillance video inside showed them getting into the store.

Police said the suspects took money out of a coin machine. Employees said they’re unsure of how much was taken.

The damage to the door was estimated to be around $3,000 to $4,000.

Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME.
