Power was knocked out for hundreds in Rutherford County after a car struck a utility pole.
The incident happened around 4 a.m. Tuesday near Powells Chapel Road, not far from Murfreesboro.
At one point, nearly 2000 customers were without power in the area. That number has since dropped significantly.
Details of the crash were unknown.
A photo from the scene showed the vehicle wrapped in wires with the snapped pole on top of it.
Crews have blocked Powells Chapel Road while they clear the scene.
Some customers could be without power for several hours. No additional details were known.
