Charges Pending After Barricade Situation

A man has been taken to the hospital with charges pending after a barricade situation in Hendersonville.

Authorities said the 911 call came in around 2:38 a.m. Sunday from a home in the 200 block of Cardinal Lane.

According to the caller, he was threatening to shoot himself and had allegedly placed explosives at his door to stop emergency crews.

Negotiators were able to speak with him for about three hours, but then the man ended communications.

Members of the SWAT team entered the man’s home around 6:25 a.m. and placed him in custody without incident.

Authorities confirmed no explosives were found.

They identified the man as 54-year-old Robert Adams. He was taken to a local hospital and charges were pending.
