The inductees for the 2016 Country Music Hall of Fame have been announced in Nashville.
The announcement was made Tuesday morning by music legend and Hall of Fame member, Brenda Lee.
Songwriter and producer Fred Foster, Charlie Daniels and Randy Travis were all named as this year’s inductees.
Foster began his career by writing songs and later worked in promotion and distribution. He began recording local acts, including future Hall of Famer, Jimmy Dean.
In addition to founding Monument Records, he also helped launch the careers of Dolly Parton, Kris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson.
Multi-instrumentalist Charlie Daniels, perhaps best known for "Devil Went Down to Georgia," said he was "flabbergasted" by the honor.
"You can work toward other goals [but] there's no way to work towards this goal," he said. "It either happens or it don't."
The most poignant portion of the ceremony came when Randy Travis was announced as this year's modern inductee.

The Medallion Ceremony would be held later this year.
