Cheekwood Unveils Holiday Lights

Posted

After months of hard work, Cheekwood unveiled its holiday lights Friday night.

The display included 750,000 lights stretching from Cheekwood's mansion all the way out into the gardens.

Visitors could also find live reindeer, s'mores, carolers, and cash bars for adults.

"It's so much fun to watch people,” said Patrick Larkin, Senior Vice President of Gardens. “They're smiling, they are, they seem to me in amazement at what all is going on here. You can hear the children laughing and talking and dragging their parents to go see new and different areas. There really seems to be an atmosphere of fun, and really that's what you want at this time of year with the holidays."

This was the first year Cheekwood has done this holiday display. They said they hope to make it into a Nashville tradition.

The exhibit was set to run until January 3, so visitors have plenty of time to check it out.
