One day after the St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll marathon, kids got the chance to run part of the route.
All school year, kindergartners and first through seventh graders from around the state have been training for the annual KiDS ROCK Nashville race.
Kindergartners ran a half-mile and the older kids ran a full mile.
“Making fitness fun is the main concept of what we want to try and push here,” said Madora Mak, event manager for the kids run. “It's all about hard work, earning it, and celebrating.”
The Nashville kids run has been the largest one in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series.
This weekend, more than $1.7 million was raised for St. Jude in Nashville.
