Some areas of Nashville have been looking a little cleaner courtesy of some hard working volunteers.
"Comcast Cares Day - Spring Clean Events" brought together residents from across the city.
They walked through areas around Napier Elementary School and the Adventure Science Center to pick up trash.
The project was a partnership with Metro Nashville Public Works. Participants said it was great to see the strong turnout.
“I was here this morning just looking around at all the different people, different backgrounds, ages,” said Maris Masellis, a volunteer. “We came together to do this. It really feels nice to be unified.”
The event was originally scheduled for last weekend, but it had to be rescheduled due to severe weather.
