Police have been working to figure out where and how a man got shot before he showed up at the hospital.
When the victim got to Vanderbilt University Medical Center Sunday, he had a gunshot wound to his back. He was taken there by a private vehicle.
He told police he was shot in an attempted robbery in a parking garage on Church Street.
However, the people who brought him to the hospital said he was shot outside of Club Limelight on Woodland Street.
Police were continuing to gather details to piece the incident together.
