Posted

Authorities confirmed a construction worker was injured and rescued after falling from a balcony.

The incident happened just after 11 a.m. Tuesday at a building project for Cameron at Franklin Park apartments in the 6300 block of Tower Circle off of Carothers Parkway.

Officials said the worker stepped off a construction lift onto the decking of a fourth floor balcony. That’s when the worker fell through a hole in the floor and landed 12 feet below on the third floor balcony.

The worker was rescued by the Franklin Fire Department who immobilized the worker in a rescue basket to be lowered to the ground. The worker’s condition was not released.
