The Consul General of India for the southeastern United States made his first trip to Nashville.
Nagesh Singh is new to the United States and came in from Atlanta Saturday.
“Nashville is awesome, the people here are awesome, and you know, we take great pride in the achievements of the Indian-American community,” Singh said. “I mean the achievements, whether it’s business, universities, research. Every walk of life in this country, they’ve been wonderful ambassadors for Indo-American friendship.”
The Consul General said there has been a very big and vibrant Indian-American community in Music City and in the surrounding areas, and he came here to get to know the community.
The Mayor told him she knows he's made his home in Atlanta, but she hopes he'll think of Nashville as his second home.
