Crews have begun clearing out structures at a homeless camp located at Fort Negley.
The tent city community was ordered to move out earlier this month, as part of the city's effort to reinforce its no camping laws.
The homeless were given an eviction notice to be out by 11 p.m. Friday.
On Thursday, crews with chainsaws were seen cutting up structures and cleaning up the area.

Meanwhile, advocates for the homeless said they feel these residents will probably just pick up camp and move to another tent city, which they feel doesn't address the problem.
Six homeless residents have been given more time to fight citations they received from the city.
