The crash took place around 3:30 a.m. Saturday at the Synovus Bank of Nashville in the 800 block of Rivergate Parkway.

Buti confirmed he was okay following the crash, but the bank and his truck sustained damage.

Buti’s truck hit a pillar and was lodged between it and a tree.

According to reports, Buti said another truck drove into his lane and forced him off the road.

“As we're coming this way, I'm thinking he's going to get back in his lane,” Buti said. “Well, he doesn't, so I had to jerk the wheel to avoid a head-on collision, and that right there happened. That's the end result.” Buti said of the crash.

He added the airbag went off when he hit the pillar.

Officials with the Goodlettsville Police Department were on scene investigating.

Authorities have not released word on the other driver who possibly ran Buti off the road.

No further details were available.
