A driver was injured after crashing his or her SUV while exiting Interstate 65 in Franklin.
The incident was reported around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday on McEwen Drive.
Officials with Franklin Police said a Lexus SUV went airborne while exiting I-65 South at McEwen.
According to investigators, the vehicle broke apart in a ditch adjacent to the ramp. The engine and two front seats landed in the parking lot of a nearby Drury Inn.
Lt. Charles Warner said it’s one of the most violent crashes they’ve ever seen.
The driver was hurt; however, no additional injuries were reported.
