EF-1 Tornado Confirmed In Trigg County, Kentucky

An EF-1 tornado touched down in Trigg County, Kentucky, according to the National Weather Service in Paducah.

Friday afternoon, officials confirmed the tornado happened during severe weather that passed through that region late on Tuesday with the tornado touching down around 11:30 p.m. five miles northeast of Linton, Kentucky.

The storm produced an EF-1 tornado that moved across southeast portions of Trigg County for eight miles.

The tornado reached an estimated peak wind speed of 105 miles per hour and had a width of 400 yards.

Reports stated hundreds of trees were snapped or uprooted. A grain bin was also destroyed, along with major structural damage to multiple barns.

Many homes also had damage to the siding and roof.

No injuries were reported from the tornado.

Officials said the tornado ended around 11:38 p.m. three miles southwest of Caledonia.
