A Goodlettsville woman shot her ex-boyfriend after she found him hiding under her bed.
The trouble started a few months before the shooting when she broke up with 52-year-old Tony Joe Gunter.
He allegedly told her he'd kill her, so she filed restraining orders which Gunter violated three times.
According to reports, she even changed the locks twice after seeing signs of a break-in.
She had also hired a company to come out to her home to install a home security system, and while the crew was there, she spotted two feet poking out from under her bed.
Gunter was found under the bed, and according to a report, she shot his foot, yelled for the person installing the security system to call police, and held him at gunpoint until officers arrived.
Gunter admitted he broke in and stole her phone, so she couldn't call for help.
