Family Of Timothy Madden React To Murder Arrest

Posted

You could clearly see the pink show of support for Gabbi on Scottsville's Town square Friday, but no ribbon could describe the sense of relief this small town feels after the arrest of Timothy madden.

"Maybe now the family can get some closure, maybe that little girl can rest in peace," said Adkins.

It had been a long week in Scottsville, where parents kept their children inside until Gabby's killer was caught.

"I was relieved to hear someone was arrested, but I want to make sure it's the right one, so our children can come out loose. We got them all cooped up now," said  Mahaney.

Yet, they didn’t feel that same sense of relief on Mt. caramel church road.

"How this all came up, that this happened, it's a mystery to me. I don't know," said Madden’s father-in-law, Larry King.

"They rolled up here, I guess about 2 o'clock in the morning, about 20 KSP," said King.

Just six hours after searchers found Gabbi's body, madden was KSP's suspect, and they were at his house.

"When Timmy came home they said he was, had stains, or something on him. That's a lie. He was just like he was at the ball game, and stuff,” said King.

For six days, the family has been waiting on KSP to make the next move.

"We've known he was a suspect, and it just kept growing and stuff. And everything they asked him, he did. He went took a Lie detector test, he done everything," said King.

Then Friday afternoon, KSP was back out at King's property.

"He was at my house, I live up on the hill,” said King. “I just said to Tommy, they're out here to arrest you. He said well, if they're going to arrest me, I wish they'd arrest me so we can get through this, and get it behind us."

Six days after a little girl was brutally murdered, KSP said they knew who killed Gabbi, but not everyone agreed.
