Crews were called to the Murfreesboro General Mills facility after fire broke out Wednesday morning.
According to the Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department, the call came in before 9:30 a.m.
Firefighters responded to the scene on General Mills Way and found smoke on the roof.
All employees had already been evacuated.
A saw was used to cut through the roof deck and crews were able to locate the fire. They extinguished the blaze and checked for lingering hotspots
Acting Shift Commander Raymond Smith said the fire may have started due to maintenance work on the roof.
