Many people ventured to Centennial Park to get a lesson on fitness.

Celebrity fitness guru Eric the Trainer came out to Nashville Saturday for the one-day, free fitness expo.

He said it takes more than one or two free workouts and educational workshops on nutrition to change your life.

"You know when it comes to physical transformation, the signs of change are three things: exercise, diet, and sleep,” Eric said. “But of those three things the most important is sleep. During sleep is the only time the body can change so we're here to motivate and inspire Nashville to sleep better at night and party harder during the day."

The Sleep Foundation has suggested adults should get at least seven-hours of sleep a night.
