Faculty and staff at Franklin-Simpson High School in Franklin, Kentucky decided to have fun and pump up their students for the first day of school with some music and dancing!

With dozens of participants, they were able to put together a music video to Justin Timberlake’s song “Can’t Stop The Feeling!”

Principal Tim Schlosser, who can be seen in the video singing along to the song while eating in the school's cafeteria and dancing outside of the school, said they attended a national conference in July, heard the song multiple times, and decided to look up the video.

After watching it, they knew they could make something similar to highlight their school and town while letting the kids know they’re excited for school and like to have some fun along the way.

“We showed the video to the entire school on the first day in our opening day assembly,” Schlosser said. “The video is a way to show the kids the enthusiasm that the staff has for the school and the students. For freshmen in particular, it may ease some nerves they have about coming over to the high school.”

Staff and faculty members said they enjoyed making the video and sharing it with the students.

“I am always excited about the start of a new school year and the challenges that it brings with it,” Schlosser added. “No two years are ever the same.”
